crafting bespoke, unique furniture

Meet the man
behind the carpentry
Hi, I’m Carl, the creative force behind New Heights Carpentry. Based in Reigate, I proudly serve clients in Redhill, Dorking, Horley, and the surrounding areas of Surrey, Kent, and Sussex.
My passion for carpentry began in 2005 as an apprentice, where I discovered the joy of transforming raw materials into functional, beautiful furniture. Over the years, I’ve honed my craft, earning my City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma and focusing on bespoke furniture that’s both stylish and practical.
Since establishing New Heights Carpentry in 2012, I’ve been committed to creating high-quality, tailored furniture designed to meet the unique needs of my clients.
A personal approach to every project
Choosing New Heights Carpentry means a more personal, tailored service. As a small business, we work closely with you from the first home visit through to installation, ensuring every project is carefully designed around the space and how it will be used. The result is furniture that feels like it truly belongs in your home.

Meet Ollie
As New Heights Carpentry has continued to grow, Ollie joined me as a skilled carpenter who shares the same attention to detail and pride in the craft. I promise the beard wasn’t the reason he got the job. With a keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach, he works alongside me supporting projects from the early stages through to installation.
Ollie takes real pride in his work and enjoys seeing each project come together from the build stage through to the finishing touches, playing an important part in maintaining the high standard of work New Heights Carpentry is known for.
The little apprentice
They say you’re never too young to start! My son has been fascinated by carpentry tools since the age of one and is always eager to join me in the workshop. When he’s not “helping” me, he’s at home with his own set of old tools, hammer in hand, building or fixing something.
While his enthusiasm might not always win me points with my wife, who knows? One day, he might just follow in my footsteps!

HQ
When we’re not out installing furniture, we’re usually back at the workshop, a converted old barn that we renovated. It’s now where much of the furniture is built and finished, including our own spray room, allowing more pieces to be completed before being installed in our clients’ homes. There are still a few decorating jobs and finishing touches to complete, but it’s been an exciting step forward for New Heights Carpentry and something that was a long time in the making.
