Behind the carpentry: Here’s what September brought.

September marked a new chapter for New Heights Carpentry as we took on our biggest project yet — transforming an old barn into our new workshop headquarters. Full of character and a fair share of cobwebs, it’s safe to say there’s plenty of carpentry ahead. Here’s how day one looked.

1. Me and Ollie rocking up like it’s a Grand Designs reveal.

2. The little apprentice’s football boots. First thing on the wall, obviously.

3. Only real plan so far: where the dart board’s going.

4. Hung the tool belt, because priorities.

5. Tested the old workbench – yes, it wobbles like a dodgy shopping trolley.

6. Safe to say our decorator’s not going to love these walls.

7. Thinking we might need the new Paslode on standby for this one.

8. Found old cupboards clinging on for dear life, left, right and centre.

9. Something tells me the marketing girl (aka the wife) won’t be rushing to visit just yet.

10. Met one of the neighbours, think we’re going to get on well.
