August looked a little different at New Heights Carpentry. After months of builds, site days, and sawdust, it was time to swap tools for tapas and deadlines for downtime. A holiday in Seville and Portugal brought a change of pace, a few new memories, and plenty of inspiration before heading back to Reigate and the workshop. 1. Wandering the streets… thought about leaving business cards just in case.
2. Seville Cathedral… proof that great craftsmanship never goes out of style.
3. The little apprentice reckons he’s hard enough for ink, I reckon Year 2 comes first.
4. Wife’s cocktail game was strong, suddenly, those carpentry quotes need reviewing.
5. When it comes to Snap, I play to win.
6. Ate tapas like it was going out of fashion.
7. The little apprentice and I carried on our tradition of visiting football stadiums.
8. Dinner views, nicer than my usual meal deal in the van.
9. Palm trees were the vibe.
10. Perfected the art of sipping beer in the pool.
