The story behind the carpentry
New Heights Carpentry recently completed a rewarding home refurbishment for a family in Reigate, Surrey, transforming what was once two separate flats into a single, cohesive living space with seamless flow. The family envisioned a home combining ample storage with stylish design, focusing on the lounge and hallway to create a stunning and functional living area.
New Heights Carpentry installed twin alcove units in the lounge, enhancing functionality and aesthetics with ample storage and a touch of elegance. A cosy fireplace was added to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for family gatherings.
In the hallway, bespoke storage solutions were designed to maximise organisation without sacrificing style. These custom units help maintain a tidy space while adding sophistication. Herringbone wooden flooring was installed to elevate the interiors further, lending timeless elegance, complemented by wall panelling that adds depth and character to the rooms. A hidden door within the panelling was included for a unique touch, providing secret storage that the family loved. Finally, the internal doors throughout the home were replaced to ensure a cohesive, updated look.
The project ran smoothly thanks to careful planning and coordination, resulting in a beautifully refurbished home that the family can enjoy for years to come.
