The story behind the carpentry

After crafting a bespoke alcove unit for a family in West Horsley last year, New Heights Carpentry was thrilled to be asked back—this time to create a fitted shoe cupboard for their newly refurbished hallway. The goal was a practical yet stylish storage solution that complemented their home.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the cupboard features adjustable shelving to adapt to the family’s needs. Shaker-style doors, matching skirting, and chrome handles blend seamlessly with the existing décor. To accommodate a radiator on the installation wall, vision panels were incorporated for airflow, with additional shelving in front—perfect for drying wet wellies. A rounded top shelf added a thoughtful, family-friendly touch.

This project highlights how New Heights Carpentry combines elegant design with smart storage solutions, ensuring every detail enhances both form and function.
