A couple in Cheam, Surrey, reached out to New Heights Carpentry with a fantastic idea: they wanted to transform an unused space in their lounge into a stylish drink storage area.

 

During the initial home visit, New Heights Carpentry discussed their preferences and the types of drinks they envisioned storing. It was then that the suggestion of a pull-out worktop emerged—not only for storage but as a practical surface for pouring drinks. The couple loved the concept, and the project was set in motion.

 

With the framework handcrafted in the workshop, New Heights Carpentry installed it in their home, creating stylish storage both above and below the worktop. Glass holder racks were added to keep their drink collection, glassware, and accessories neatly organised, making the space both functional and visually appealing. This project highlights how even the smallest spaces can be transformed into unique, creative, and highly functional areas.
